I read this book in under 12 hours because I couldn’t put it down. If you are a fan of Daniel Sloss, buy this book. If you love to read, buy this book. If you hate to read, buy the audio book. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from Caitlin h -- 10/10 gift to your Catholic family : I thoroughly enjoyed reading this, the majority of it was stuff I would expect after watching his comedy specials but there are definitely some more serious chapters that were just nice to read. The swearing definitely helps. It's written more like a conversation, which some people might not like. Two probabilities - Sloss won't make you laugh at all, or he'll make you laugh like loon, continuously, explosively, to the embarrassment of everyone around you. Update: I'm reading on my Kindle, but I'm going to buy a hardcover copy for my husband who doesn't like to read on tablets. - 4.0 out of 5 stars from Michelle Kelly -- Not for the easily upset! : For anyone who has watched any of Daniel Sloss' stand ups either on Netflix or Youtube, you should know he's not a delicate comedian - he likes to hit on subjects that are sensitive and make them open. His stand up show 'Jigsaw' inspired so many relationships to break up and divorce meaning he might have a point on some things... that being said, not everything he writes is easy to digest, and he doesn't expect it to be. If you are a sensitive soul who likes to like in your little bubble, don't read this. If you are okay with other people sharing their opinions on sensitive subjects as subtly as hitting it with a sledgehammer then give this a go! There's a certain Pokemon comment on page 6 that had me in stitches and there were things further on in the book that made me want to cry or reconsider my life choices and this is who Sloss is! I share almost every opinion with him, except maybe for the poetry thing and the part about not liking children. Will definitely recommend this to some friends who need to hear these words and are open minded enough to not hate me for wanting them to be single for a while.
